Good afternoon. Here in the United Kingdom, the Queen's law dictates that no citizen may carry a blade whose length exceeds 3 inches long. Furthermore, the blade must fold and cannot have a locking mechanism.
I've been looking in to available options, and have settled on pic related.

My purpose for carrying is to exercise my right as one of the Queen's lawful subjects. Posting here because my American friends will no doubt be able to relate to weapon restrictions. If you have any viable alternatives, I'm open to suggestions. Loopholes are fine, as long as no law is breached.

If you fearedfor your life, and the attacker was armed too, the argument could be made that you used reasonable force to defend yourself. You would still likely be arrested at first, similar to what happened to that bodega owner in NYC.

Even if your knife is "legal", the cops can still arrest you, at their discretion. An Aberdeen man was arrested and taken to court in 2018 for carrying a potato peeler.

There was a story of a woman who had her house keys out when some twat assaulted her and she scratched him with her keys, defending herself.
They later charged HER with assault, saying that she "carried the keys with the intent to cause harm to other people."
I'v heard a few other stories like this. That's why you see pictures of the UK police confiscating forks, screwdrivers, butter-knives etc. Anything that can be interpreted as potentially dangerous can get you fucked according to the ridiculously vague British law.

Imagine being a subject instead of a free citizen. In my state you can carry any knife up to 12 inches without a permit. You could carry a sword if you got the weapons permit. Some states have zero restrictions lol.
