tried to make some sort of fantasy map where every extant and a few 'revived' ethnic group got its rightful territory. I then realised that rightful territory is a myth, that ethnicity and even language are also myths, so i stopped bothering to update it. Also many ethnic groups are smaller than a pixel in terms of territory so i would have to really do this in SVG but that is insanely laborious from what I can tell. So I'm going to first focus on gathering data on the different ethnicities. This entails quite a lot of research and trawling through random ethnicities political parties, student unions and tribal council's facebook pages.
I'm going to dump some of the outputs from my autism and also some of the sources of data I used
>HURR YOU'VE DONE SOMETHING WRONG MY REGION/ETHNICITY SHOULDN'T BE LIKE THAT i know, that's why i gave up there is no objectivity in what an ethnic group or a language or what the rightful land of either of those is. i'm just sharing what i did and why i gave up the original plan and what i learned in the process
tl;dr instead of focussing on the map I am going to focus on making the country/ethnicity profiles. Then once I've made a profile for every single ethnicity on earth + a few extinct ones I will study SVG or GIS and try and work out how to make this map without the constraints of PNG
here are some more flags and emblems I design. I designed the Korean, Chinese and Tamil flag, and designed the coat of arms for Korea and Tamil country
I made 3D flag waving animations thereof.
After this i will dump some of the country profiles I made. This has taken up a lot more of my attention than map making because it's far easier.
