The "real russian army" is the guys manning the heavy machinery. They're lobbing explosives and waiting for the enemy to get ground down. Then they support with tanks and mechanized infantry LPR/DPR/Wagner/Chechens as they advance on the destroyed position. A side effect of the BTG structure, which is rich in machinery and poor in manpower, is that they rely on "allies", as in militias that do the legwork.
