Lithuanian fertilizer plant closes due to Russian gas prices
The largest fertilizer plant in Lithuania, Achema, announced its uncompetitiveness against the background of products from Russia and the United States.
"The fertilizers we produce are becoming uncompetitive compared to the products of American and Russian manufacturers," the plant said.
Recently, six of the largest industrial plants in Europe could not cope with the rise in energy prices and announced a shutdown.
Why won't they lift the sanctions? And what should happen to their economy for them to cancel?
How the grain production is going this year? You guys should be harvesting the crops by now, right? Much lower than normal? I´m really thinking about going all in on agriculture commodities.

>uncompetitive so, we don't have a food crisis then? because if theres a famine, you make the fertilizer even if you can't make a profit

>Daimler, Ford, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Stellantis (Fiat-Chrysler-Peugeot), Renault, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo leave Russia and let hundred of thousand russians jobless and billions of $ out of the russian economy for good. Vatnigger: Sanctions don't w-work. >Some random fertilizer plant in Lithuania closes it's activity for a few weeks. Vatniggers: Europe is done, we won!

Harvests of potatoes, onions, sugar beet, apples and hops are expected to fall short by 10-50% in the U.K. Meanwhile, EU harvest forecasts are down 16% for grain maize, 15% for basedbeans and 12% for sunflowers.

This is fertilizer for next year. Do you think anyone has any idea if there will be enough fertilizer in spring?

>because if theres a famine, you make the fertilizer even if you can't make a profit not with capitalism lol
John Powell
really? you think there will be significantly fewer mouths to feed?
>hundred of thousand russians jobless just a lie, most of them had no factories here also a parallel import is available, they still sell cars but not through official dealers
Camden Hill
noone gives a shit about overpriced and unreliable european car brands, meanwhile people do care about food

As much as it would be funny to agree with you, only a stupid fucking shill thinks bullshit services and “luxury” goods mean anything when your economy produces raw materials and energy out the ass that literally everyone can’t go without. Modern economies work just fine without McDonald’s and Netflix. No oil, gas, ore or lumber? You basically have no economy.

i think the reality will be far darker. food is bought with money, everywhere in the world. and african/arabs etc, will just move into europe, to avoid hunger.
