Desert Storm

Was this the grossest mis-match in military history?
I was watching about it a bit this morning. To call it a military operation is almost a complete misnomer. A regional power (at the time) totally flattened by 35 nations, including nearly every global power in 5 days. Mid-late secondhand soviet era gear against the latest modern military hardware, and a non-understated swarm of aircraft. It was essentially glorified weapons and tactics testing. I’d almost be embarrassed to claim to be a veteran of it if I was one. Wow, you slaughtered a bunch of retreating conscripts from range or the sky. Congrats.
It should almost be a rule of honor to not enter conflict with such ridiculous odds.

t. butthurt mohamedan

They did it for the same reason they let Obama destroy Palmyra. The want nothing left of the history of goys.

Opium wars were even worse

>It should almost be a rule of honor to not enter conflict with such ridiculous odds.
This, it would be an embarrassment, like beating a helpless child, or withered old man.
I have met many 'veterans' of this 'war' who act like they're the hottest shit ever.

I support the Military Industrial Complex
Fuck third worlders
Israel will rule all, unironically

The Iraqis thought the US would not care as the State Department told them they don't really care as Kuwait was essentially a British vassal.

Your endgame is upon you.
I will write in stone your deeds lest we are misled.

Thism if you want to know why China is building up their military, just look up the wars that led to the end of the Qing dynasty. Every major power in the world ganged up and fought China and splits their major port and cities between each other. It's also why getting nukes was their number one priority after the CCP was established.

Don't forget your Anthrax boosters.
100% safe and effective!

>It should almost be a rule of honor to not enter conflict with such ridiculous odds.
Literally the opposite of how wars are fought and have been fought since we learned how to make fire.
Only retards think war is honorable, the ones with honor are killed off by backstabbing, well-poisoning scumbags, the scumbags rewrite history and no one knows or cares about ye chivalry in a hundred years.

globohomo had to send a message that all you pissant gas stations are Americas bitch and if you don't get on your knees and suck dis big gorilla dick nigga i might just kill you

>Was this the grossest mis-match in military history?

something like that.

I was in desert storm

It wasnt as you say. Some of their units fought back hard and its disrespectful to paint it with a wide brush.

Looking at the statistics yes it seems one sided but it was like any other war.

The issue as I saw it from everyone I talked too was simply supply. They had no food or water for weeks. You probably wouldn't fight either

And this is what most of the USA seems to look like today, or worse. Seems to be karma at work.

>35 nations
Yeah Syria sent like 200 guys.

You only get so many Vietnams and Afghanistans before the public completely loses any trust for you

The guys on the other end were more than capable of inflicting horrible losses

The closer we got to the more expierence and supplied units the harder it got

Do the question "are we the baddies?" ever reach you head, ever?

Are americans capable of self reflection?

Iraq 4th largest army in the world outmaneuvered by Colin Powell.

>It should almost be a rule of honor to not enter conflict with such ridiculous odds.

Yes true to some extent, but Hitler lost ww2 and the jews that won dont care about morals, ethics or any laws so.. this is warfare now, everything goes..

America is always the good guys an I will ALWAYS root for them, no matter what they do. Butthurt "tough guy" Europeans on the Internet should be beaten until they stop barking at Americans. You should be thankful America didn't bomb and take over your country.

Powell Doctrine was learned from Vietnam failures of Civilian Leadership.
Don’t use the military incrementally. Decide Stragic objectives then turn it over to the military profession. Go big, win decisively, come home quickly.

>A regional power (at the time)
Iraq was the 4th largest army in the world at the time. Their equipment and defensive positions at the start was actually pretty formidable. Turns out America is just 2 stronk 4 you

Is that why the US, the supreme anglo power, is so worried about Chinas rise? Because those ricebois will collect for dividends?

Saddam’s idiocy. He never bothered checking what the west would do.

Large and good are different things.
An anthill has more soliders than a hornet’s nest, but that would be a one-sided fight too.

I think if Saddam had used chemical weapons and caused massive coalition casualties it would have lead to political change in the US at least for a while.

He truly believed America and Britain would just sanction him but he could weather it with all that oil.

Bush 41 told the Iraqis if they use chemical weapons he would deploy a tactical nuclear strike, and the Iraqis believed him Bush was a serious individual.

>It should almost be a rule of honor to not enter conflict with such ridiculous odds.
Any military that tries to fight "honorably" deserves to lose.

no, he was tricked into invading by the (((neo-cons))) in the State Department, remember he was our "ally" a few years before when he fought against the Iranians, once he was done slaughtering Iranians with our help they turned on him

>To call it a military operation is almost a complete misnomer.

I always refer to it as the attack on Iraq. Iraq War is certainly a bad fit. How can say that and keep a straight face?
Also, you neglected to mention the ten year siege. Yuge factor.

OP is an idiot, anyways a couple pics.

Saddam lost power anyway. He should have used them.

The State Department historically did not like the Jews, the Neocons insinuated themselves into public office, if men like George Kenneth had his way the Cold War would have been fought in a much different manner.

The eternal Pollack

Same then Suez crisis in 1950.

That sounds like the ant hill's problem, noy the hornets nest.

They can't they are Jewish clay Golem, not humans.

It's the Jews who asked so mutts did as they always do, they obeyed and thought they were making a great service to their country
