Looking at American homes on YouTube, I always wondered why they all have two separate sets of taps(faucet) and sinks (basin) in their kitchens
>The kashrut(dietary law) preference, for both Conservative and Orthodox Judaism, is to have two separate sinks, one for meat and one for dairy, because a sink can so easily become treif(unkosher). A double sink is possible, but difficult to keep kosher, as spills from one to the other can happen too easily. >source: myjewishlearning.com
Turns out almost every American home is built to accommodate Jewish dietary law, even though Jews account for only 1% of the total population. Pretty neat if you ask me.
One side for soaking dishes, one side has the disposal.
Josiah Price
This is basically everywhere and has nothing to do with muttland. One sink for piling up dishes and wash them under the tap and one sink to drown them in washing liquid and keep it clean in the same time.
Basic common sense.
Josiah Long
it's for proper rinsing of dishes before dishwashing machines became so affordable
Zachary Stewart
One is for peeing another is for pooping. It's common knowledge. Cmon man. You livin unda a roc or wut?
Ryder Fisher
Ever washed dishes in a sink? One side for wash one side for rinse. You should be asking why we don't have separate hot and cold taps. Hint, we have first world plumbing.
Blake Morris
soapy water in one, rinse water in the other
Lincoln Murphy
because that faucet has a sprayer for rinsing and cooking implements that are bigger these days need a bigger sink so you aren't spilling water on the counter
Xavier Ortiz
You poop in the one that has an electronic machinator, like the shitter on a yacht.
You pee in the other sink.
Levi Davis
That shit only works for a few dishes but once you start washing pots and pans or even a few dinner plates you gotta its just dirty fucking water. That's gross bro.
Logan Myers
One side is for washing the other for drying. You don’t let shit pile up in the sink, unless you don’t have time.
Nathaniel Bennett
In Spain every sink is double. You wash the plates with soap on one side and put them to dry on the other side.
Jayden Gonzalez
One for diah water and dirty dishes, other for rinsing.
Josiah Jenkins
Been a long time since I last saw a sink thread. Look at this! It's like a bathtub for your dishes.
One side is for soapy hot water. >wash dishes One side is for cool clean water. >rinse dishes
Every time i see those giant single basin kitchen sinks I think, "Fuck that looks inconvenient."
Ayden Kelly
Seriously? Dude the moment your hot soapy water starts looking a bit dirty you drain it and refill. Scrape food and shit into the garbage, don't just dump it into the water with the dishes. Shit isn't complicated.
Michael Jenkins
One's for wash, the other's for rinse.
Camden Cook
>washing dishes by hand >no filtered water faucet in sight Dishwasher and water filter chads, rise up.
