Successful space mining will open up humanity to virtually unlimited amounts of precious and rare Earth minerals and provide us with easy access to hydrogen from our gas giants.
Fusion went from impossible to now being possible. It from from microsecond sustainability to several minute sustainability for some new models. We went from giant cold magnetic superconducting fusion systems to high temperature magnetic fusion systems that are super compact. We went from from fusion systems which couldn't produce more power than input and now we have ITER and hot magnetic superconducting fusion systems that are being build for 10 to 1 power output to power input. Fusion is coming.
Another thing that is coming is deep hot dry geothermal where we can generate electricity from anywhere on Earth.
We have fully autonomous vehicles and solid state batteries which will make oil and a vast number of jobs obsolete. Mining, forestry, farms, driving job, and auxiliary jobs such as restaurants, hotels, vehicle insurance companies, vehicle loan financial institutions, vehicle repair, etc see major job attrition.
