Looks like it was built by a youtuber in a garage

you assholes don't understand it is perfect for what it was made for. Incels clueless yet again.

These things are good in shooting down drug planes. You can station them everywhere.

Super Tucanos are cuter.

Why didn't they just use those instead?

They will be used. The US builds them now in cooperation with Embraer for their own use.

So, America just made a less reliable, and more expensive EMB-314, aka "Super Tucano"?

Fuck, you could spray a lot of coca and poppy fields with one of those while defending yourself from the cartels and taliban. Cocaine and heroin prices are going to come down.

What's the issue here. Why are memejets so important? Drones are important in warfare and they're basically ww2 fighter / red bull air race tier planes but radio controlled and with missiles.

>Drones are important in warfare and they're basically ww2 fighter
True

They're looking for budget A-10s now that they're close to being retired from US stockpiles and given to Ukraine under that quiet training program we've got their pilots doing.

It looks pretty nice.

Based.

It's perfect for CAS. Build 10k of these and let them eat AA. It's better than infantry getting artillery on the ground. They're simple to maintain and supply. A truck could carry everything needed. Find a road for a runway and create a remote airbase in minutes.

>what it was made for.
>austere and unchallenged conditions
interesting way of saying they will be used on civilians. this goes over the line. open source AA soon!

The tooling for pic related is long gone sadly.

They are actually amazing user!

>T. Military expert

Your one is good but the new American one is in an other league with the technology Brazilian user.

I don't know what kind of fake news you're listening to but that's an agricultural aircraft. It's repurposed for military purposed in very specific cases. That's an AT802. Go check it out yourself if you don't believe me.

Getting some BF109 vibes here.

>what’s the issue here
It doesn’t even have a bubble canopy. Looks like something the soviets slapped together back in the 30s

How much these planes for normal people to buy them: 1.6 mil
How much the US Govt spends per plane: 40 million

Gee....I wonder where these are envisioned to be used for machine gunning and rocketing civilians....

Why not partially replicate it with improved materials and components?

I love all prop aircraft. Make war sexy again.

We can never create something so pure and beautiful as the P-51 ever again.

Don't mind me. Just getting rid of the bait memeflag.

i dont get it someone explain it to me like I'm not an autistic incel

No kidding, it looks like a IL-2
Produced 1941–1945

I see no problem with this. Desperate times, desperate measures and all that. Godspeed to all who follow the path of the Sky King! Just make it count. Seriously. No schools and Walmarts, that's glowie shit.

>Why start a completely new assembly line when you can just modify contemporary aircraft that is in production.

Better than super T you imbecile

Government probably running out of inconel and other exotics necessary for jet engines.

I am not criticizing the pick.
Those "slow" aircraft showed to be really good for several types of operation where the target doesn't have air superiority, or you need to "escort" an unknown aeroplane entering your airspace. Not only that, many armies in the world buy our Super Tucano to train pilots because it's dirt cheap to operate this "trash can".

Even fucking Taliban wanted more Tucanos and was willing to "exchange" modern stuff for more of the same (source was questionable, don't quote me on this).

It's ugly, but is it cheap?
What does an f35 cost? 800 jillion dollars a piece?

That's what they did. They got an 40yro old platform and built it up from there. I know you wanted a 90yro platform.

Wow i refuelled one of these

>more expensive
>more expensive

Checked silly goy.

We 3d print them, no ancient tooling

Is this the F-15 Biden told us to get?

oh ok

Our tucanos are not meant to be technically superior. They are built to be simple, reliable, cheap and easy to maintain. This is our whole point of sale.
If you have 5 broken Super-T, you can make 3 working Super-T with your car mechanic and a "basic set of tools".

Insider here, the plane actually works by dumping a bucket of marbles over enemy infantry position at a height high enough to instant kill them

it's gotten so bad they are buying old shitty jets by the fleet from old european powers and integrating them into the air force. we are going to fly typhoons unironically.

>brought some crop dusters from rednecks
the day of the attack helicopter is over
man portable anti air missiles are responsible
the day of aerial ground attacks are over
this crop dusting plane will be used against militaries who can't afford anti air missiles

Nothing personal

Attached: Capture.jpg (2157x1077, 75.78K)

>uncontested and austere conditions
it's going to be used on civilians. wake up.

no no, they slip on the marbles and twist their ankles

Definitely not less reliable.
OP's right, it literally is a repurposed crop duster. The brand is Air Tractor and again, that's literally what it is.
Point is, it's been in production for decades, plants, parts, engineers and pilots are available locally.
Having a foreign equipment in your army is the dumbest thing a nation can do, the only reason American even bought Tucanos is to evaluate and reverse engineer it.

maybe everyone just decided that jets are soulless and boring returning to tradition of dogfighting is the best option

Quads of truth

The technology is lost, right?
Another proof that air travel is fake. No human ever went above the clouds.
