Simping is a problem but really, for the longest time those "cam" or other pornographic tipping/subscription sites have been used to launder money. It's like a given on a streaming platform that accepts payments. Companies do enough to keep regulators off their back but they aren't going to go out of their way to make sure huge earners are 100% legit if they think they can get away with it.

Other methods to clean funds like gambling, you have to keep paying fees to make the game and players seem legitimate before taking the money out. With simping you can argue that the larger, dumb 'donations' and such are just the result of fanatics who are obsessed. Women are also less of a target when it comes to tax evasion and they'll even get lighter sentences not just because they're a woman but they'll plead ignorance and claim not know about the wider conspiracy. Also it's something women can do easily, just upload pics on the regular, answer messages etc. They'll be told what to buy (cash heavy business like a gas station) and left to keep the rest for themselves to make their dumb purchases.

Compare this with another digital form, even the pay to win games, you might be able to make an excuse for a 'whale' that spends a ridiculous amount of money on some item. But it's going to look suspicious if you don't use said item and immediately try to sell it. So there's more effort involved, you have to pay stupid Chinaman to play some game for many hours (that he probably hates, and will do the minimum) so it seems legit and you hope they don't fuck it up. Simp purchases and whales don't require that amount of sophistication. You can easily just pretend to be a guy that's 'obsessed' with her and doing strange things like a 40 grand donation.
