nos.nl/artikel/2442804-scp-politiek-moet-voorkomen-dat-burgers-afhaken > "Keep critical citizens hooked". The Social and Cultural Planning Office (SCP) makes this appeal to politicians. According to the SCP, it will be a challenging year for politicians: the government must show that it listens and is reliable. Furthermore, politicians must explain their choices. >"There are people with a deep mistrust in politics, that is a group that is very difficult to reach," says Den Ridder. "It is perhaps not surprising that most people are critical. Citizens who follow politics critically should continue to do so. Politics should not try to boost that trust either. Trust is a by-product, a signal that you are doing the right things. does and does it in a good way.” They're so close to being self-aware, yet completely aren't.

Am I the only one around here who has the mentality of "If you are 18+ and can work (or study meaningfully) and won't, you won't eat?"
Ian Bennett
>Am I the only one around here who has the mentality of "If you are 18+ and can work (or study meaningfully) and won't, you won't eat?" We live in a gynocentric society, which means that "everyone" gets to eat, you can thank women for that they overwhelmingly vote leftist policies

Nothing wrong with welfare, the problem is you get actual money. If the state paid your rent and gave you an EBT card to buy food the incentive to sit at home will be low. But as it is now, you get a cool ~1300 Euro to spend on a PS5 and a bag of weed. Welfare should equal hardship and armoede but in reality it is permanent vacation where the only thing you cant afford is a nice steak every day.
Kevin Morales
>If the state paid your rent and gave you an EBT card to buy food the incentive to sit at home will be low. but then you spent the rest of the income on PS5 and stuff, the problem lies with the culture I think too, be should be ashamed to receive gibs
Adam Edwards
>but then you spent the rest of the income on PS5 and stuff That's exactly the point. By keeping you from saving any money, you will be forever relying on the government. Then, when the government wants you to do something (like taking an experimental vaccine), you have no choice but to do so.
Austin Wright
I was advocating for a "cashless" welfare system where you wont be homeless or starve but you do not receive any actual money. Problem is that such a system will need a covid19 QR code tier insfrastructure and an even bigger governement.
