Why are megacorporations becoming more and more like Stalinist pseudo-governments instead of capitalist entities solely looking to generate returns for their shareholders?
They show regularly that maximizing profit is NOT their primary goal. I would argue that if organizations stop being motivated by profit, it’s no longer really capitalism. Minimizing ovehead by replacing workers with robots or cheap third world labor—that is capitalism.
Shutting down all public restrooms except for one, locking everyone who needs to use the bathroom inside, and then spewing diarrhea out of your ass onto everyone in the room because there’s no where else for them to go—that is not capitalism. That is essentially what is going on in America.
And then they have the audacity to start acting like the fucking North Koreans staging everything they can to make them look good in public even when we all know what’s really going on. It boggles the mind.

I went to McDonald's today and got a Filet-O-Fish combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. I was eating it in my vehicle in the parking lot and listening to an audiobook when I glanced up and saw the McDonald's worker I ordered outside having a cigarette.

She waved at me and I nodded and had to wait 7 minutes before she went back inside and I could eat in comfort again. I don't think that employees should be bothering or even trying to socialize with customers outside of the McDonald's restaurant or drive through, but that is another story.

I went to McDonald's for dinner tonight and got a McChicken combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. As I was driving to the second window the same girl was still working. She was acting somewhat obsequious and attempting small talk when she asked, 'why don't you come eat inside instead of in the parking lot where it is cold'.

That really bothered me for many reasons. First of all, I don't want my routine or actions to be tracked by a fast food employee. Secondly, she should not try to tell me how I should live my life. I do not want to eat inside because I find it less comfortable and would much rather be inside my vehicle listening to an audiobook and enjoying myself and my privacy.

Overall, I think it was very unprofessional to bring this up. I should have a clean slate with each drive through visit, not have to get the third degree because I committed some sort of faux pas. Which I don't think I did, because I often see people eating in fast food parking lots. How does she know I am not busy going to work or somewhere in a rush?

The problem is the abandonment of being proud of a job well done and becoming solely motivated by profit. Now all that matters is the bottom line. Very few people give a shit about their work like Tom Cruise.

Unchecked consumerism is a sin just as bad as communism.

>they show regularly that maximising profit is not their primary goal
Have you ever heard of Larry Fink and ESG scores?

Because profit in fiat currency isn't real profit. The only real profit in a fiat system is influencing the system itself.
Company A makes ten billion dollars in the agricultural sector. Company B buys the Beaureau of Land Management for a billion in bribes, and makes no monetary profit. Which company comes out on top in the long run?

Yeah it's like corporations reached the point were they had so much money and control they gave up on the pursuit of profit and decided to spend their money trying to 'better' the world instead of focusing on maximising profits. Basically all the megacorps are just playing it safe by spending by money on safe investments to ensure they make some profit or some crazy propaganda piece. No one want to invest in meaningful innovation anymore because it's too risky.

Probably because the simple act of investing and dumping stock is not rewarding work, but it's how most money changes hands these days. We let things like shareholders and hedge funds corrupt the entire economic system.

>They show regularly that maximizing profit is NOT their primary goal
oh but it is.. how can you drain the maximum amount of resources from a critically thinking, intelligent, white audience? do you know how expensive that would be? think of the risks? what if they catch on to your ways and band together? 110? what are we at now?

jews want the white race gone so they can leech off a mass slave nigger underclass for the next ten thousand years.

you are here looking at acts on the timeframe of weeks while their hatred has been burning for thousands of years

They are capitalist entities pursuing profit, what other outcome could there possibly be?

This. Corporatism must die. We had regulations against this for a reason.

user she wants to talk with you

Stopped reading midway when I realized Mike Valley wasn’t in your story.

You let me down.

Shadowrun isn't fiction, it's prophecy.

Is this not part of the ESG score system where they only get loans from major banks if they push the Woke shit?

She probably realized you were an incel but wanted to be nice.

>they treated us like cattle
>b-but we were grateful for the opportunity
It's people like this that allowed corporations to run roughshod over the public. They treat you like shit, but who cares when you make a thousand dollars a minute? Who cares when you can short funds to the floor and the SEC sits on their thumbs and does jack shit?

Very similar thing happened to a guy that lives in the USA, sometime last year ad I recall.

Narcissists run everything and they can't be criticized

The returns are obviously generating, since these fuckers are still around after raping their customer base. The profits aren't coming from here, but in some other part.
BlackRock and the EGS system is definitely a factor, since getting preferential treatment in loans is basically like generating profits, and it doesn't even necessarily require selling products/services!

>Why are megacorporations becoming more and more like Stalinist pseudo-governments instead of capitalist entities solely looking to generate returns for their shareholders?
"Capitalism" was never anything more than a form of stalinism that has no pretense of caring about the common man, you have to be a brain damaged lolbert to believe there was ever a difference.

Jesus dude. The worker was being nice to you. She was not "tracking" you. People do look around and pay attention to what's going on.Fucking schizo needs to take his meds.

Because normies paying for tickets has long since topped being the primary source of income.
Financial capitalism runs on giant investments that interlink with a perpetual indebtedness to shareholders like a financial pyramid and the biggest investors, the 1% can afford to make such demands for company policies under the threat of withdrawing investments.
If every chud refuses to watch their shit they will lose maybe some share of the potential profit, but if mister Shekeslberg does not refinance them, their company goes into the shitter the next month.

The magical homo economicus libertarian worldview is false, that's why. Corporations aren't simply algorithms that input investment and output profits, they are run by real people with real agendas. Larry Fink's leftist agenda with ESG scores is the best example of this. These people don't need infinite money, they just need enough to satisfy their lifestyle and then they pump the rest into their preferred political agendas
This is why billionaires need to be kept on a short and very tight leash, just like how the CCP does it

>They show regularly that maximizing profit is NOT their primary goal.

That's exactly their goal.

It's a long term goal though. They don't necessarily care about about the profits of a specific product. But they care about how the said product will change society to consume more of their shit.

Also power matters too. Guys like Bezos or Gates are so fucking rich they don't care about money anymore. A 100 million dollars profit is quite literally pocket change to them. They ascended in to a position that the idea of "profit" is more than just money. It's power and influence. It's things that you can't buy with just money. Money is just a means to an end.
