Bowden was too good for them.
Jason Turner
Bowden's book 'Pulp Fascism' actually made me more tolerant of people I disagree with on politics. A strange feat for a National Socialist.

The honest answer is that it's all but impossible for smaller parties to achieve electoral breakthroughs under the First Past the Post (FPTP) system that we have here in the UK - see UKIP's performance in 2015.
With that said, it would be fair to look at a ranger of other factors as well. The BNP didn't have a great PR team; they made the mistake of allowing the wives of BNP members to appear in a toe-curling documentary called BNP Wives (youtube.com
There's also the UKIP factor; Nigel Farage openly boasted about having destroyed the BNP by attracting large numbers of their voters. It's a sad story, truth be told.
Brayden Harris
They didn't. I thought they were crap at the time but looking back now there will never again be a Nationalist political group in Britain to get as far as they did.
Xavier Turner
A thoughtful answer, user, thank you. I remember watching the doc channel 4 made on the youth wing back in '09 Later on I watched the Mark Collet one from '02. Another factor is that the general British public don't care for extremist parties (unlike the continent)
Dylan Gutierrez
Do they still exist? Or are they nothing more than a website at this point?
Elijah Adams
Because they talked about the JQ

A mix of being the enemy of the MSM and establishment (never would have made it), poor PR overall, internal sabotage (membership list leak) and infiltration by special branch (which kind of applies to Mark Collett and the modern day PA honeypot).
Their decline became inevitable from that Question Time appearance which was never going to go well (BBC only helps establishment and attacks anyone not approved or in support of their agenda as per their bias). Going by the changes (anti-hate laws, social media warriors, etc) since their fall it is very unlikely for there to be another party like them ever again.

I'm not a natsoc but I like him. Got some of his books, worth reading if you can find them.

This, real answer here. UKIP destroyed them, Farage is seen as a darling of the right in America but the truth is he helped destroy any true right Wing movement in the UK.
Zachary Butler
I should also add MI5 were tasked with destroying the BNP, yes the intelligence service was used as a tool against a legitimate political party.
Levi Nelson
> MI5 were tasked with destroying the BNP
This and nearly every jewish organisation (media) worked together to destroy them
Joseph Wright
If that puts normies off then they cannot be saved and are welcome to their fate
Chase Kelly
I was in the BNP for 3 years, I'd say a number of factors. Primarily above all was MSM promotion of UKIP, and many people who would prefer jumped ship for pragmatic reasons.
I'd also say Nick Griffin was competent to lead the party from 1999-2009, but leadership of a part as large as it had become should have been passed onto someone more competent.
Was honoured to have met him IRL,
Blake Anderson
If Britain was governed by a BNP majority. Do you honestly think that they wouldn't have done the same thing to their enemies?
