NY GOVERNOR ORDERS ALL REPUBLICANS TO LEAVE NY STATE

i've noticed this sentiment being echoed by shills/bots/astroturf sockpuppet accounts online as well. trying to get people to leave states where they aren't part of the political majority. in city/state facebook/reddit groups or twitter threads etc you'll see people going "man i sure hate our governor! my wife and kids and i are going to move to a state more in line with our political values!" and then about ten other totally-organic accounts will say "me too! i've had enough of GOP hatred and bigotry, i'm leaving."

they're pushing for a second civil war, red states vs blue states, and eventual balkanization aren't they?

red states and blue states will make coalitions (probably organized through the governors' groups) and also regional confederacies- if you remember in the early days of the pandemic they kind of piloted this, with the west coast states, midwest and plains states, southeast and southwest states, and east coast states as part of some kind of pandemic supply procurement initiative, trying to find supplies of masks and ventilators and whatnot.

so a loose central federal government, with stronger states and coalitions of states, following a limited military conflict between states as well as citizens/feds, with public/private partnerships playing a relatively larger part than before (NGOs, foundations etc)

they're doing something similar on the world level with the transition to a multipolar system, presided over by supranational organizations like IMF, UN, World Bank, etc. in this analogy, countries would be states, economic spheres would be the state groups, and supranational institutions would be the federal government
