What's there to do in America when you're done with work or school? I've been a shut-in for most of my life thanks to some lazy parents, so now that I'm older I try to get out of the house.
Well, there's fucking NOTHING to do. Nowhere to go to meet people. No communities, clubs, anything of the sort that I couldn't find online with a fraction of the effort.
I'm 24. I barely see girls my age walking around outside unless it's the beach, and even then it's just minorities. If I see a bunch of guys at a bar or a rec center, they're either teens or 30+ years old. Everyone in my generation is just fucking holed up because we all came to the same conclusion: NOTHING TO FUCKING DO ANYMORE.
Movie theaters, skating rinks, bowling alleys, arcades, the mall, laser tag... All of these locations used to be ubiquitous and now they're all operating at a perpetual loss because nobody wants to go to them! Seriously, when was the last time anyone went to one of those indoor trampoline parks or spent the afternoon on a putt-putt course? I drive past these places and they're barren!
Anons, is it just me? Or is something wrong with modern America? I feel like I lived in a bubble my whole life, but I know things used to not be as bad as they are now. I try to check in with old high school and college friends and they don't do anything fun anymore but sit inside and work all day. What the fuck happened?
it is extreme individualism that is prevalent in anglo world. mena, mediterrenean immigrants also complain about this phenomenon most relationships are superficial and there is a deep lack of community
Jonathan Harris
What website is that?
Bentley Lewis
>Or is something wrong with modern America? You have no idea.
I go into nature. Humans are boring. Why do you need to see them?
Learn to be alone. It's the best thing you can do. Inability to be alone is the reason modern "people" are constantly looking at their phones
Christopher Hughes
everyone is either at college or at home, at most they will go to a nightclub or bar with a strict group of friends met through college, dating is done entirely that way or through apps.
Alexander Taylor
>Anons, is it just me? Or is something wrong with modern America? It's just you.
I enjoy being alone and I actually find it quite enjoyable to visit "dead" forums, look at abandonware computer programs and explore empty places IRL. Still, it's foolish to pretend. I use Any Forums as a proxy for social interaction. Most of us do, in my opinion. I think that's hogwash. Even clubbing is dead. I can't speak for European scene but American raves maybe lasted a whole 8 years before being axed by politicians and worrywarts.
John Carter
the book title says 'revival of American community', so what did author say about 'revival'?
Leo Flores
i accepted that sleeping all day long and doing nothing was a good idea in light of this. ive been doing this for 8 years and i am diagnosed schizophrenic. i get harassed by demons every day.
Andrew Lee
Well, Putnam was a boomer. I could leave it at that, but his thesis is that he's cautiously optimistic. Like most books written during that era he can't really think of a solution besides "lol Internets???" and every time he comes close to realizing where the problem originates, he shirks the thought away.
I can't fathom it, personally. Imagine citing over 500 separate studies just on leisure in a single book and your final conclusion is "Meh, maybe it'll sort itself out?" He probably had to put it that way so the book would sell, because the actual content is very blackpilling.

i just want some male only club where i can go hang out and eat/drink with non-idiots like once a month or so should i try to join the freemasons

I live in Oakland, Ca, and see lots of outside gatherings in the black neighborhoods, they get together in neighborhood groups of 20 or so at some little park and sit around all evening, never see any whites
the weekend flea markets are pretty social events also
whites need to go to some mall or somewhere they make you spend money, people dont want to spend money to be in a crowd and alone
Ethan Evans
I have noticed this too. White people seem to have just disappeared from everyday life, at least in common areas. I walk around and I'm the only white person anywhere, except some older Boomers also walking around. Personally I like to just live my life so I still go out even if it's all non-whites around.
I think that whites instinctively don't like being around non-whites and stop going out once it hits a critical mass. Most don't even realize this, but they retreat to online shopping and Netflix, basically never leaving their home.

All community is contingent on female sexuality being reigned in. It's destructive as a nuclear bomb when unleashed. the dial up phone, then subsequently the internet short circuits females natural community building instincts and puts them into a schizophrenic overdrive.
I live in a small rural town, 99% white, and even here younger people are few and far between. If you go to a nearby city (60k-80k population, probably 95% white) you'll see more, but it still seems weird.
Hudson Fisher
i used to go to a bowling alley a lot as a kid, but now there's two fucking huge 5G towers behind them. the modern world is fucked that's for sure.
Landon Bell
Okay, plebbit. Go back where you came from.
Robert Cox
Probably something to do with the vaccine
John Roberts
>because nobody wants to go to them! imagine going to laser tag with niggers.
Daniel Robinson
here it is just bars full of dying old people, and i don't drink, all the movie theaters, bowling alleys, etc. closed in the past 10 years, the mall is the last place really but it's not what it used to be, lots of niggers there also
