As other anons said, the publishing industry is generally uninterested in both new white male authors (they're fine with the ones who are already established and commercially successful) and male-oriented stories. I've seen more literary agents than I can count explicitly say they're looking for LGBTQ writers, writers of color, and so on. White men are better off either writing screenplays or nonfiction.
