It was still superior to any other bomber in terms of radar cross section. The cross section was about the size of a bird. It didn't mean it couldn't be shot down, just much harder to do it and you needed some luck. Because of its flat panel design, the aircraft couldn't go supersonic. It would become unstable. It didn't have afterburners. Like anything in life, there are trade-offs.

I don't understand this. If you see a bird on radar going 500 mph, wouldn't you just assume it's a stealth plane? Don't they have radars that can track it? They have those guns that can track and shoot down mortar shells in Iraq, and Pissrael etc.
