Thoughts on the Confederate flag?

The pic above is the Stars and Bars. It was replaced with the Stainless Banner (pic here) because the Stars and Bars was too similar to the Union flag and led to confusion in battles. Note that it's not just the Scottish cross full of stars, it's also got the large white field.

They'd die of exhaustion before they reached the shot gun stuffed in the back of their Ford 350.

i doubt it's that bad.

The Stainless Banner had problems as well, though. Ironically, it was called "too white", meaning that it could be mistaken for a flag of truce. The fact that it was a battle flag on a flag of truce also was worried to send mixed messages, although since it was being used by a bunch of traitors fighting for the freedom to preserve slavery, "mixed messages" might as well have been the national motto of the Confederacy.

The final Confederate flag was pic, the Bloodstained Banner. The name was appropriate since it was adopted in 1865 when the Confederacy had well and truly lost the war and had just yet to gather up the necessary brain cells to realize that fact (though mind, they lost the war by the simple decision to go to war in the first place).

It also contained as little blue as possible since blue was associated with Yankees. Y'know, the good guys, at least as compared to the Southrons morons.

So yeah. Long story short: the thing commonly called the Confederate flag, isn't. Y'all don't know your own history.
