This. OP just found out his family never really loved him. Mine didn't, either, but I realized that early on. Suck it up and move on. I stopped caring about my family a long time ago. I did not visit them when they were dying, I did not go to their funerals. I do not care that they are dead. As far as I'm concerned they died 30 years ago when I left home and never returned.
