en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Leap_Forward >Millions of people died in China during the Great Leap, with estimates ranging from 15 to 55 million, making the Great Chinese Famine the largest or second-largest[1] famine in human history.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] >Deaths by violence >Not all deaths during the Great Leap were from starvation. Frank Dikötter, in his book Mao's Great Famine, estimates that at least 2.5 million people were beaten or tortured to death and one million to three million committed suicide.[124][66] He provided some illustrative examples and claimed that in Xinyang, where over a million died in 1960, 6–7% (around 67,000) of these were beaten to death by the militias. In Daoxian county, 10% of those who died had been "buried alive, clubbed to death or otherwise killed by party members and their militia." In Shimen county, around 13,500 died in 1960, of these 12% were "beaten or driven to their deaths."[125] Dikötter's claims have been disputed by Felix Wemheur.[7] In accounts documented by Yang Jisheng, people were beaten or killed for rebelling against the government, reporting the real harvest numbers, for sounding alarm, for refusing to hand over what little food they had left, for trying to flee the famine area, for begging food or as little as stealing scraps or angering officials.[42][63]

How popular are ground heat pumps and photovoltaic panels in Lithuania? Here almost no newly built houses use gas for heating, 80% of them are energetically self sufficient, state refunds up to 50% of the cost.
that makes me wonder why does ivory towers kvetch that their gas would be shut down if modern houses nowadays use solar panels. heck, even germany now pride itself in wind power.
tl;dr if green energy is sufficient why malding over gas?

average winter temperature is -5 C unless winds bring cold air from Scandinavia And our winters are getting warmer each year. And AC can act as heaters, my AC has 5 functions - normal, cold air, dry air, heat and humidity. During summers I use cold air to bring temperature to 17 c During winters I use heat function to bring it to 24 C

I think I will manage. Few years ago I was piss poor because I've lost my job, so I had to decrease heating in my house to 11-15C. It's livable if you wear warm socks and sweater.
Ethan Thompson
Well you are getting warmer winters

Ukraine should just go all the way to Georgia and help them liberate Abkhazia and South Ossetia, so Georgia can also join EU and NATO
