No, the trick is to buy someone's groceries for 50 cents on the dollar. Basically you hang out in front of the store and wait for someone to go in and offer to buy their groceries if they give you cash. You buy $200 worth of groceries and they give you $100 worth of cash, which of course you put in a jar to save for college to further your education.

EBT is food stamps in card form. You sign up for it, and depending on how little money you make they give you a monthly allowance to buy food. You can't buy hot food, but some grocery stores will have a "buy here and we'll cook it" scheme going on. Anyway, you take your card, but groceries and just swipe it. If the system is down, you can't get groceries.
