I'm not into fat chicks but this bullshit claim that all of a sudden and never before society has propped them up is bullshit.
1) There have always been fat singers that rise to prominence across the ages. It is generally accepted that fatter singers can have an easier time with vocal work due to how they're built
2) Beauty standards and weight have gone in cycles across eras, go back just a couple hundred years and being skinny was for field working serfs and the art ties being fat with being rich and healthy.
