there is absolutely no reason for anyone to ever learn to speak russian

Both but first, Russian

My family speaks it but I never fully picked it up. I would like to, though.

*japanese

Russian is way easier

*french

I've heard there are a lots of Armenians in Russia. Do you guys like each other? And viceversa.

Pierre, mon pote, pourquoi tu dis ça ?

If I want to learn both, I'd learn both at the same time.

I'm white, so Russian. I'm also not into anime, gook girls or anything trendy.

Russian, I tried learning the three Jap alphabets, big mistake both two kanas are retarded and kanji will absolutely kick your teeth in.

I have no time to do it, I work and study full time, plus travel time and chores, I just have a small time fraction to practice.

Chinese is way simpler than Japanese, but it's such a shame it's fucking useless and it has no cultural exports nor you can't talk with Chinese easily.

This
If you want learn a Slavic language, learn polish of Czech

Japanese is more valuable for career prospects but I don't really have career prospects and Russian would be more interesting for literature and movies, so I pick Russian

Both
Japanese for anime and Russian for Dostoevsky

Pensi che la vita in Russia sarà migliore della vita in Italia?

umm japanese i guess?

pensi che la vita in Italia sarà migliore con una guerra con la Russia?

Tecnicamente siamo già in guerra, anche se se non si vuole sostenere l'attuale governo, capisco perché.

Huuuuhh??? The only reason to learn russian is literature but polish and czech are absolutely useless languages, for what reason would anyone want to learn those?

Can confirm, I had a Polish friend and I tried to learn Polish. What the fuck it's that language. Waste of time.

I tried learning Jap. Kanji destroyed my grades completely

What can you read with those?

Learning Russian is more of a challenge for English speakers because the Cyrillic script is familiar enough, yes still foreign (i.e. p is actually r) which means "re-learning" and forcing yourself to un-learn certain letters. With Japanese, you have infinitely more characters to learn, but they are so visually distinct and detailed that you should be able to memorize them with some mnemonic learning and a bit of repetition. Question is, do you feel more comfortable practicing vocabulary with a Russian, or a Japanese person?
