American healthcare is free, just in a way that only benefits megacorporations. The U.S will still treat you at taxpayers expense in case of a life threatening emergency, Americans because they won't get treated early will have multiple life threatening emergencies which cost more than regular treatment.
If you got rid of free emergency treatment, people would just take a gun to a doctors head and demand medicine.

>wait 1 hr
>5 min conversation
>am told to get called by hospital for procedure I had before
>say am busy at work, can only do 1 day
>get called 2 weeks later “user sir, we have an appointment at x day in 2 months, you come in on Monday, maaaybe Tuesday procedure, if you are lucky we release you Wednesday”
>answer “does not work, can we do Friday, release Saturday”
>nope
>say can’t do because of work
>voice on phone “but you may die without this, no?”
