People like you will also complain when every doctor or IT person is from India or another country where education is cheaper or close to free. PPP loans were given to people who employed others, who were supposed to finance said employees during COVID, instead of firing them or furloughing them.

There were no security measures with the PPP program. Anybody who could start an LLC did it and scammed. Congress members knew the loans would be forgiven so they took them out.
Cancelling it would be fine, if the taxpayer wasn't footing the bill and paying it for them, the colleges and lenders don't deserve a single penny because they are selling a scam product. Those institutions do not deserve a taxpayer funded bailout that is being called student debt cancellation.

I think most people shouldn't be paying any taxes, income or property, taxation should be purely transactional at the time of transaction/commerce, there are far too many social programs that do not solve any problems and just exist to siphon money off of productive people. This crazy girl I know was talking to me about PPP loan fraud last night. She used to be pen pals with a prisoner in Texas. She is a hardcore Catholic and just does it as a form of charity. She shared a text with me. Apparently a prisoner with an illegal cellphone started a non profit on his cellphone in his mom’s name and tried to get a PPP loan. Not sure if he was successful, but you can see how PPP loans were an invitation to fraud. I rather know my tax dollars went to honest tax payers who are providing a service to this country whether in medicine or law than to some scum bags who got a PPP loan.
