In ancient times, what now known as India was the centre of the world. Those who developed sailing and could make the trip only had one place on their minds, the greater Indian subcontinent region.
We in the West are taught that Rome and Greece were the heights of our civilization, but they merely spoke watered down versions of what Hindu sages and gurus said far earlier. Everything from cosmology, algebra, trig, dharma, concept of immortal souls, living within nature not against it, derived from those magical people who first lived along the Indus, Saraswati and Ganges... They were so wealthy both in physical and spiritual wealth that even the poor people had gold all over and the joy of a thousand blessings.
It's sad what's happened to the immortal Hindu people in the last few centuries, but they're still here, undefeated.
