But it's not just things that you are allowed to do but don't have to do. It's also things where you have to do it, such as feminist laws. So Islam's view is that a person without such an external mechanism will be in a corrupted state, otherwise there wouldn't be the need for the external mechanism. And yet they claim the people in this corrupted state are not Muslim simply because they claim to not be Muslim. And they claim that they themselves are Muslim, even if they are in this corrupted state.

Ok some of this is based on wrong understanding of Islam. Worshipping Jesus (peace be upon him) takes you out of Islam. Sinning does not take you out of Islam. Now as for the external mechanism.... I assume you mean how sharia polices social morality. Well how has NOT policing social morality worked out? I guess people should not commit violent crime out of the goodness of their hearts and intentions. And if we have police then I guess it makes it harder to tell if people don't commit murder out of genuine good intentions. But the bottom line is prevent murder. If you refrain from fornication and homo acts, sure, I guess I hope you do it out of sincere good intention... but regardless, allowing that kind of filth will destroy society so bottom line is preventing that kind of thing regardless of whether people comply out of goodness or out of fear of punishment. It would be utterly cucked to sit back and allow social degeneration because you're focused on making sure people do good for the right reasons. I mean for example, should we ban pornography? Yes. Do people comply because good intentions or fear? Hopefully good intentions but I don't really care. This theory of "you can't police morality" is what's enabled the social degeneration we see today and which all of us reasonable people are concerned about.
