The posts are generally recycled and have nothing to do with the post in question. RWA posts are fucking infested with them. The latest peremoga is they "bought" a Pion, but how they would do that is beyond me. They're soviet era for starters, and most of the ones not in Russia are in Ukraine already. So you have to wonder where they even got them. That and how they're going to get ammo for it is beyond me. If I had to guess, the PR division just dug out a Pion, slapped some reddit memes on there and created the NAFO story. I doubt we'll see it again.
There are 3 types of nuclear waste: high-level, transuranic, and low-level. This is perfectly acceptable for low level waste. Which is actually the majority of waste that is produced at nuclear power plants. High level waste makes up less than 1% of the total nuclear waste generated. That is the only type of stuff you need to store underground.
