You can have all the uranium ore in the world, it doesn't matter. What you need is enrichment capacity, lots and lots of it. US enrichment capacity is laughable. What you also need is the ability to produce high assay low enriched uranium fuel to power the new generation of reactors. US doesn't have that.
In short: US nuclear sector is a joke. US nuclear diad is rotten with only the submarine nuclear carriers being properly maintained.
