The US government makes 4,000,000,000,000$ (4 Trillion) through taxes every year.
The government can make 18 Trillion $ from space solar panels every year instead. This state sponsored project can cut taxes to 0%
It consists of the following components: Mirrors, solar panels, space laser, laser beam energy collector, space ring, tether.
The sunlight hits the thin mirrors. The mirrors focus the light on solar panels. The solar panels convert the light into energy. This energy is beamed (bzz) to a microwave beam collector, which is located on the space ring. Then the energy flows through a cable (which is located in the tether) down to earth.
Why is space solar better than solar on earth? Solar on earth takes away lot of space. You have the clouds and atmosphere inbetween. You have to deal with dust. You have night time. None of that is a problem in space.
Why do we need a space ring? It provides the forces that are necessary to attach a tether to it. You can also put a space train on it and get half across the world in 30 minutes. It is a magnetically levitating train, but on the space ring instead. The space ring itself is the railway of the space train. You can also use the tether with an elevator to transport things into orbit cheaply and safely.
What materials do we need for the space ring? Kevlar, glass fiber, steel… Not yet existing materials are NOT needed.
What if a micro asteroid or rocket hits it? Kevlar (the stuff they use in bullet proof wests) helps against the smaller particles while space lasers are used against enemy attacks. The idea of using space lasers against enemy attacks goes back to Ronald Reagan and the SDI (Strategic Defense Initiative). They already had plans back then to use space lasers against nuclear rockets. Also, what else would be the Space Force for?
Is this laser beam unhealthy to humans? No, because it is in space, far away from humans. Even if humans would come close, you can use a microwave frequency which is not damaging to humans at all.
But the Kessler effect? The space ring would be 100-200km high while the Kessler effect only becomes relevant at 300km or higher. So, any space junk will clean itself if it is below 300km. When it comes to the space solar panels, you can defend them with space lasers, too.
But the energy prices would crash? No, they would not, since the government would simply impose a price control.
Which other problems does space solar solve? Cheap energy makes things such as indoor farming and desalination of water possible - anywhere in the world.
How much does it cost? As much as a bank bailout from 2008. Even if it costs 1 trillion, you will get many trillions back every year. Remember how the FED pumped 6 trillion back when COVID hit?

Why not spend the money and resources on building a Dyson Sphere around our own planet?
Colton King
>Why not spend the money and resources on building a Dyson Sphere around our own planet? we havent found a way to turn the emanation of german stupidity like Op who wants to build giant solar farms in orbit into electrcity yet
Evan Ward
I don't trust Chinese escalators or high-rises, why would I trust a fucking Chinese space train?
Andrew Perry
I'm a retard, but wouldn't transfer energy from solar panels in space to earth through FRICKIN LASER BEAMS potentially have disastrous implications on the atmosphere?
Kayden Gomez
How about an American one
Read my post once again, it‘s not beamed through the atmosphere
Thomas Rivera
>How about an American one Probably not now, considering our focus on diversity being a significant source of manufacturing strength.
Indoor farming and you can have lots of bugs, or salat, or wheat, or…

Look the establishment is about to cause WW3, we need to focus on something good now
Brody Garcia
ok but that's science fiction, even the nations working on low orbit solar panels are at least a century way from whatever cgi you posted
Brayden Kelly
It’s been possible for 40 years. Also, I used photoshop
Brody Morris
Wtf it would take longer time to travel around globe than if it was lower so it doesn't even make sense to build it.
Christopher Morgan
Gov could make 18 trill, sounds nice but is it really?
Till now most of the renewable energy have been a meme and haven't been thought trough thoroughly.
Examples: - Solar energy, after their lifespan they are non recyclable and end up in landfills - biomass, cut down forests to burn for energy, topkek - wind energy, destroys bird population and your view - Hydro based energy might be the best of these since i don't see much downside but you have to be able to do this in your area geologically. - Electric cars, components mined by child slaves and very high energy costs to produce these vehicles.
Imo nuclear energy is the way forward for atleast the next century.
Also you think governement will cut taxes after a technological breaktrough? In my life I've almost never seen a tax removed, but i've seen dozens of retarded taxes being added because muh good for the environment, people, government etc.

hasnt it been proven countless times an elevator cant be made with modern materials and requires carbon nanowire or someshit that cant be spindled atm
Levi Mitchell
ok, you are the ceo. i am the coo. let's begin. although i suspect very much we will built the ring on the moon first.
Parker Thomas
It’s not about the travel here. I mean yeah if you would take a hyperloop and build it on the ground around the earth it could be quicker but this is not the main point
Mason Sullivan
The SPACERING version of the elevator does NOT require these exotic, non existent materials. You can make that version with already available stuff
Robert Smith
Look, we need to make this idea popular before your government can give anyone the money to make this project happen. People must think „wtf I dont want any other politician other than the guy who wants to make the space ring happen“ and THEN someone can do it
Justin Adams
Nice science-fiction, globe faggot. Stupid fucking kraut pleb. Nothing gets past the dome...

Pathetic shill

no, we must get a corporation created, and then approach VC for fundind. you will need a coo, and i am your guy. i am highly qualified, motivated, and well versed in tech VC presentations. plus, with a EU jurisdiction we dont have to follow US law.
