When the government involuntarily shuts down the economy, ceases all rent, and temporarily deprecates the need for employment, most organizations will be dependent on their "cash on hand" to survive.
Not taking the government's pitiful "sorry" check would simply be ridiculous. Imagine a mafia shut down everyone's businesses with the threat of violence. But they depend on these businesses existing so they pay them for the days they were closed by threat of violence. You don't take the mafia's check because you're a principled person? Is that really principled or just foolish? What if it doesn't even make up all the damage, and your family needs you to keep operating? If you're playing a rigged game of Monopoly, how important is it that you respect the rules that prevent your success?
The thing people should be talking about is how organizations that *didn't need PPP* (large corps, financial services, all kidnds of stuff) qualified FIRST because of their proximity to the financial services industry. But if your buddy's bar got forced shut for months, he's personally on the hook for lease agreements and shit, he didn't even get time to get access to that PPP cash because all the giant corporations got in line first. They were able to suck down a huge portion of the available cash immediately through their connections to banks and lenders, and using creative accounting, spent it all on payroll (freeing up cash flow for investment and other sources). Small timers got hosed. They don't know how to play this rigged game.
Daniel Ramirez
Clearly not if he got the gov't to pay for his student loans. I'd say that's a timely win.
People asked for it, people got it. As it should be

>not realizing forgiven debt is now taxable income
fuckin lol
Owen Hall
There's a difference between advocating for gibs and taking them when they're offered and funded by your taxes. I paid off my student loans ($60k) long ago and I think the vote buying loan transference program Biden came up with is terrible policy but if you quality for it, you should take it. You're going to have the money to pay for it taken out of your paycheck either way. Might was well help equalize things back a bit. But if you advocate for it (or worse, vote for those who supports it), then yes, you're an evil parasite.
Christopher Morales
You're putting yourself at a disadvantage if you don't exploit every government "handout" (which is really just a tax return) made available. Handouts might be idiotic from a macro perspective but at the level of the individual the optimal financial strategy is to take advantage of them whenever the opportunity arises.

kek
Brandon Gray
>some money the government stole from you in the first place
The only people that have a problem with this are the parasites that are dependent on said stolen money.
Jeremiah Hall
haha the fucking cope
Jackson Sanchez
15 to 20% compared to 100%. Sounds like a win to me you fucking dumbass lol. Lmao even
Cameron Reed
ALWAYS TAKE EVERY BENEFIT YOU QUALIFY FOR
YOU PAY FOR THEM WITH YOUR TAXES
YOU PAY FOR THEM WITH INFLATION
YOU CAN TAKE THE GIBS WITHOUT VOTING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO GAVE YOU THE GIBS
Blake Ortiz
YOU WILL NEVER BE REWARDED BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR YOUR WORK. YOU WILL NEVER BE REWARDED BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR. IF AN ENTITLEMENT EXISTS, TAKE IT. THE MONEY IS MORE USEFUL IN YOUR HANDS THAN SOMEONE ELSES. TAKE ALL THE MONEY. TAKE ALL THE HANDOUTS. DO SO WHILE VOTING FOR POLITICIANS WHO WILL END THE HANDOUTS. IF YOU HATE THE GOVERNMENT SO MUCH, DO YOUR PART TO BANKRUPT IT.
Hunter Baker
m8, the government locked down the country.
Henry Price
>Have no choice but to pay taxes. Have an opportunity to get some back.
Wow how hypocritical.
