Hey fellow yuropoors, are you buying things like pic related for the upcoming winter? I feel like the price of these small heaters will increase by hundreds of percent as soon as it becomes colder. How can we prepare for the worst? German minister of economics already said that office buildings aren't allowed to heat above 19C starting from September 1st. All store lighting has to be turned off at night, all monument and public lighting has to be turned off at night etc... They will bring "warm water hours" and so on, I'm pretty sure.

Furthermore, what people should remember is that this crisis was caused by the government. How do you solve such problems? I'll give you a hint: buy a weapon instead of a heater. Put that fuel you buy into bottles. Attack the problem at its root.

This. Reminder there are people that live and walk past the North Pole every week. Just put some fucking clothes on, cunts. Insulate ALL pipes as much as possible. Insulate the sleeping areas as much as possible. Heat ONLY the sleeping areas to tolerable levels to save having to have a tonne weight of blankets on you. The rest of the house, keep windows open to prevent mould growth if you have shitty windows, or keep them closed and get a heat exchanger installed. (brings in fresh air heated by the stagnant air leaving, minimal power to run them as well)
