Personally, I worked so many hours and made so much money last year and early this year that I simply don't have to work. I've been putting off getting a job that pays even more for months, honestly all together this has been probably the best year of my life in like 6 years. I'm 29 though so I don't think I count as 'young' anymore. At the center, the answer is the housing crisis, or rather, no affordable housing.
Why?
If a house was affordable by 1 person working a full time no-degree job (as it should be), then they can start a family and live a "normal" life.
More and more men aren't able to purchase a home, thus most of the younger generation are now unwillingly stuck in a sort of perpetual childhood.
Can't start a family in an appartment. For most people they just can't move on in life. Only a few with rich parents or high educations can afford a home now.
Most men don't even "drop out" consiously, there just isn't anything else for them to do.
Others blame themselves all day for what is essentially, not all their fault.
These generations will be known as more lost generations, born during the low of the generational wealth cycle, this will damage our society for decades to come.
Lower births, greater wealth inequality, greater inflation as is happening now.
