Abbot won't bend the climate change knee

>one in a thousand year storm
Has Texas and Texas meteorologists been around for over 1000 years? That state is awesome.

I'm starting to think climate change has become the vengeful god who sends a natural disaster to whoever doesn't worship hard enough.

Our planet is in a long term cooling phase. It's not a straight line user.

Dallas here. Just seemed like another rainy day. An area near my house that floods under heavy rains looked normal

but saying something one in a 1000 years. why not 2000? or since the great bible flood, 4000 years?

>yahoo news
do people really?

well, you can't keep saying BIGGEST FLOOD EVAR and 1000 year increments sound really big but relatively tangible, and it's conveniently unfalsifiable. next one is 2000 YEAR FLOOD, then 3000 YEAR FLOOD, on and on

Lol democrats blame any natural disaster on climate change now? Hurricanes tornadaoes and flooding have been happening since the beginning of time but somehow it’s “climate change” lmao. What the fuck is wrong with these people.

Yeah any time a storm, heatwave, blizzard or whatever happens you always always always gets people trying to invoke climate change.

They aren't saying "floods are suddenly climate change" the headline right there says "1000 year storm" in a major city that had days of blackouts during a freeze.

>Days of blackouts during a freeze
Yeah because the fucking windmills they put in because muh climate change froze up.

Abbott didn't winterize the power infrastructure. What sense does it make to blame just the windmills when they're part of the same infrastructure that failed?

They didn't have winterised oil in them because Texas doesn't tend to get that cold. An oversight there sure but still the fact remains a traditional power plant would not have that problem. Solar also gets fucked by snow as all the panels get covered in snow.

I am forgotten

I heard on the radio the other day that meteorologists will begin naming heat waves similarly to hurricanes.

when the sun and moon stand still and the stars fall from the sky, climate change will begin

The entire existing energy infrastructure wasn't winterized. We have traditional power plants here and they weren't winterized. You could have nuclear power and if the infrastructure isn't winterized that energy isn't getting to your house. All energy companies have to say, and what they did say, was that they did everything right within state regulations. Abbott isn't in favor of changing state regulations.

Because this is not the definition of 'climate'.
Climate is the average weather values of a longer period of time, usually at least 30 years.
A single incident, no matter how grave, is neither 'climate' nor can it ever be the result of any 'climate change'.
Weak reasoning is prone to fallacy.

Thing about a traditional power plant is that it's inside. Heated and so on. Whereas a windmnill is out on some frozen hill somewhere. Thus the windmill is far more affected by the weather.

Weather controlling mechanisms are real.

Nigger, it rains hard in DFW every fucking summer.

Corpus Christ has already been forgotten by time, honestly.

Area 51 tests weather modification, among other things.
The USA and others know how to do it.
It's a new form of warfare.

Who cares? Abbott bends his knee to the Zionists.
