God is spirit according to Jesus, and apparently he can manifest himself similar to an angel, which does have a body, however they are not "flesh", flesh is used to describe mortal humans. "the word became flesh" meaning he incarnated himself as a human.
Jesus is described in the old Testament as the arm and word of God, your arm is also yourself, yet it does whatever you want it to do.
