jokes aside, despite it has shitty reputation among normies ,it's undeniable that anime/manga is such powerful medium to portray deep philisophical themes and mind provoking ideas and invoque strong emotional reactions...i've consummed many books and movies and nothing even comes close to anime ,,,it just hits different,,
ANIME AND MANGA
bump
Anime/manga is objectively better than western media. Most if it is genetic garbage. Some of it is decent.
>Most if it is genetic garbage. Some of it is decent.
Most Anime/Manga is pretty generic cookie-cutter garbage, same as any mainstream medium. There just happens to be a lot of it, and explore a wider array of topics than western animation and comics.
Made by fags for fags and fags in training.
Read a fucking book, fag
>it's undeniable that anime/manga is such powerful medium to portray deep philisophical themes and mind provoking ideas and invoque strong emotional reactions...
Nah, it's just that it attracts a lot of autism and when it's weaponized, it becomes incredibly powerful and wielded in the most irresponsible, but most deserving, hands to swing around with reckless abandon.
Anime is an effective tool, because it tends to depict an idealised homogenous world without minorities fucking it up.
>Anime/manga is objectively better than western media
because it's not run by Jews or filtered through politically motivated shitlibs (created by Jews)
Anime is wonderful escapism. It has beautiful girls, cute children, occasionally strong and smart men, and people are extremely rarely non-white. I'm not sure if it's healthy escapism, but it certainly is more entertaining and far less soul-crushing than most anything coming out of the west.
>tranime
>Anime is an effective tool, because it tends to depict an idealised homogenous world without minorities fucking it up.
it's not racially homogenous, characters are all 99.9% Japanese and Europeans, and that's a good thing
shitskins are basically non-existent with a a handful of background characters
>Read a fucking book, fag
Books are good too.
Different cultures are a source of creativity and have the most fundamental resonance with the history that Western civilisation has gone through.
Why does anime attract both far left and far right?
Checked, K' On! is the perfect example of a society where Hitler won. Nothing but happiness, cheerfulness and kindness seen in the series.
Both anime and far left/right needs high level of openness to experience from psychological big five
The power of anime is that the medium has a great potential for connecting us to the archetypal realm (there's a reason we weebs joke about 2D as if it is a parallel world, a pure land of the otaku buddha). Part of this, of course, is the intention of the artists, but when you learn about archetypal symbolism and storytelling you end up seeing so much of it in anime that it becomes clear that the artists are also conduits for messages introducing themselves to humanity.
Look at something like Gurren Lagann: it perfectly picks up the ancient shamanic symbol of the spiral and builds a powerful story that includes the traditional meanings and themes associated with the spiral. Then you get into all the other things like Lordgenome, the Anti-Spirals, the identity and masculinity/femininity stuff. It's like draining the ink out of a book on symbolism and mysticism and mainlining it.
attack on titan taught me more about german history than they did in school

The Japanese people envied your history, understood its essence - freedom, human rights, democracy - and wanted to reproduce it as their own, not just a copy. How many more years do you need for me to become you?
