Catholicism is like watching fucking groomers on Youtube and liking it. James 2 is not eternal salvation, it's saving your brother physically
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
If you don't give your brother any physical help then he'll probably die. James is saying that you're already saved eternally (calls them brethren a lot) now you should do works. Also Abraham was justified to his works to man, not to God, as

Literally says he was justified to works then he has glory but not to God. God can see your faith, man cannot, so you prove your faith to man by your works. You don't need to prove your faith to God since he can see your heart

Doing the Father's will is believing on Christ, not doing works.
