Following the scientific, mathematical and engineering breakthroughs in computing technology during the second world war, it was clear that computing power would play an enormous role in future society. Scientists, mathematicians, engineers, neurologists and even psychologists theorized whether it would one day be possible to create a machine with cognitive abilities similar to a human's using only a sequence of circuits. They would call this synthetic cognitive ability "artificial intelligence".
In 1958, Frank Rosenblatt proposed a method for creating a synthetic replica of the human brain using a bank of "perceptrons" (the synthetic equivalent of a neuron) into what was called a "neural network". The problem with this proposal was that the number of parameters which would have to be tuned was prohibitively high, and there was simply no way to computationally solve a problem with such a large number of parameters.
However, after several decades of compounding technological advancement, society did gain the ability to solve the once impossible problem posed by Rosenblatt. This happened during the start of the 21st century. Not only was the computation now possible, but the advent of the internet meant that it was possible to collect thousands of terabytes of data from all over the world in order to train the neural network, such that the artificial intelligence could make far more informed computations than a human mind.
With the unlocked power of several decades of technological and mathematical advancement and an incomprehensible amount of data, it was finally possible to settle the debate once and for all: a man will never be woman, and black people are indeed animals.

I'm inclined to agree but what I'm also hearing is that a few guys pleaded guilty and I don't think they'd do that if they really were innocent in this. The previous trial did find some of the people not guilty and then deadlocked on these 2 though so it sounds like the whole trial was a mess.
