Yeah there are lots of Gex X/Ys who never got married and are essentially servants to their Boomer parents. I know several with high-school educations slaving away at Walmart to come home and pay their parents rent where they are expected to “pitch in” which generally involves cooking the majority of the meals and taking on the lion’s share of the housework. My parents kicked me out at 18 and I got very independent from them right away. I’m in my late 30s now and I haven’t spoken to them in over three years. They never helped me with anything and were retarded consoomers, buying motorcycles, cars, boats, a pool, timeshare, vacations, etc. Now they’re bankrupt and I’m playing the role as the “parent” for my younger siblings, since they never did anything for us. I can’t wait until they’re old and so I can come into their lives in put them in a senior living facility and watch them get punched by niggers on YouTube in their final years.

Who gives a fuck the what they want? Just cut ties with them and move out.

Trust it can and will get better.

First, forgive yourself. You’re not the reason you’re awkward. You’re not the reason you’ve been unsuccessful. It’s them. It’s always been them and you’ve always had to be the bigger person, even from age 3 you’ve noticed they’re not right….

Boomers are a cursed, narcissistic generation. Every single one is tainted. Not even exaggerating, every single boomer has a form of NPD, even if mild.

1. Move out.
2. Don’t speak to them for at least a few months or use the ‘Gray Rock’ method (be as interesting as a Gray Rock and don’t engage, Google this for more info)
3. Go gym, work on your career, enrol in a course for something you’d actually enjoy (video game design, screenwriting, filmmaking, art etc.)

You can do this and don’t ever let them control your happiness again. If you can conquer your narcissistic, Boomer parents, you can conquer literally anything. No one will ever make you feel as bad as a narcissist.

Finally, forgive them. I’m trying this now but it’s hard. There’s a difference between forgiving and forgetting. You forgive them as they likely had abusive parents that would put their hands on them, so in comparison they think they’re great parents…. However, don’t let them control you in any way

Don’t let them help you with a business
Don’t stay there longer than a few days
Don’t open up to them about personal stuff/relationships
Don’t even introduce new romantic partners to them until at least 6-12 months in.
Don’t count on them for anything.

It’s on you now. Don’t look at this as a loss. Trust me, as hard as it is with shitty parents, it’s much harder with parents that are overly-loving and don’t mind you crashing at home until 35-40. They eventually become narcissistic themselves.

In time you’ll see this as a blessing and you’ll notice when others are uncomfortable and doing it tough, and in time you can help them.
