Definitely agree, but the franco gets it wrong. Canada is supposed to be a confederation of provinces. It's just a fancy way of saying a union of individual states. Alberta is learning from Quebec, and North Ontario will learn from Alberta.
We don't even have interprovincial free trade, but we have free trade agreements with entirely different fucking countries.

Even after 1867 there are indications (UK Interpretations Act a few years afterwards) that Canada was supposed to remain that way despite the viewpoint of the public that it had become a proper country. The Statute of Westminster granted sovereignty... to the provinces. Confederation was never properly addressed since that point except for what Trudeau Sr tried as per OP. Canada: 150 years of pretending it's de jure business as usual
