I hoard Tungsten bars. There is nothing heavier (or even close) to the density of Tungsten that is not also at least 10x more expensive. Tungsten can not be counterfeited. A simple toy like scale can test 1000s of Tungsten coins an hour and easily spot any fakes made from baser metals. Tungsten is used throughout industry so it is constantly being used up (like silver and copper) so it is nearly impossible to hoard it all (like with gold). Anyone making millions of naked shorts with "paper tungsten" will quickly find himself broke from having to deliver that which he does not have.
