When and why did Americans become 'addicted' to fast-food? I was reading about fast food history, and until the 1980's, it was marketed as a specialty item. Many fast-food customers thought of it as an occasional treat, rather than something to eat all the time. And that's how the marketing was done - treat yourself; have a special night out, etc.
When did that shift to people eating fast-food constantly?
You and most Americans are lazy low iq fat fucks. I welcome destruction.
Michael Watson
It used to be cheap as fuck was why I ate it all the time as a teen and my twenties You could get tacos at taco bell for 59 cents You could feed a busload of people for twenty bucks with no dishes and no cooking time.
Fast food marketing was super heavy in the 80s, but honestly (from experience) the food did taste a lot better back then; much like it does in the EU, where you find them using (slightly) less preservatives.. and olive oil
I’d say it really hooked its claws into Americans in the 90s, for sure…

>an occasional treat That treat became an everyday thing, whether you're spoiling yourself with McSlop or a 1500 kcal latte-slurpee from Starfucks. America is addicted to corn byproducts.

Our brains evolved to crave certain chemicals and colors, and fast food exploits this with food coloring and artificial flavoring/extracts. We don’t see or taste the slop we’re eating when we buy fast food.
I call it slop but it’s actually just extremely low quality with practically no nutrients, which is why we’re seeing nutrient deficiencies in the obese. The soil has been overfarmed with no organic matter dying on it to reintroduce nutrients. The animals are all sick due to crowding and injected with pharmaceuticals. Nobody at the companies care, and even if they did they have a legal obligation to shareholders to earn the most revenue.
So now we have this population of fat addicts who can only consume and evil businessmen who can only earn money. The problem extends far beyond fast food: the movies are getting worse, the art and music is getting worse, the computers, appliances, apps, houses, roads.. everything is getting worse, and most of the population just doesn’t give a shit due to the declining quality of news and government brainwashing campaigns.
Welcome to Hell I guess

Yeah the 90s was peak goyfeed era

All they have time for and all they can afford

Chains got too big and had a accessible store in every major city. Also it was cheap unlike nowadays so boomers, gen x, and millennials all got used to it more and more. Zoomers are the same way too but it's less affordable so unless they are consoom tier most don't want to spend the money on it. Banks are the same way, they are easily accessible and people got too used to the convenience and interest, now you have to use cards for a lot of stuff. Marketing and convenience and manipulate the market to force people to do horrific shit.
Connor Foster
NGL bros, I would go to town on that Bellbeefer

didn't it start sometime in the 60s-70s with the introduction of junk food, cereals, etc?
Nathan Collins
Absolutely. It’s why capitalism is failing. A movie studio is obligated to churn out formulaic garbage. A car manufacturer is obligated to cut corners. A drug manufacturer is obligated to fast-track R&D.
More on topic, there are legions of neuroscientists working in marketing. Think about that. We’re at that level with current science. The marketing is imperceptible. If you even see a Big Mac, you’ve experienced thousands of man hours and research meant to craft the most addicting version of a burger with thousand island dressing on top. Everything is like this now. We’re undoing humanity with this satanic alliance between brain science and big business

That shit legit looks awful. Let me guess, they took pictures of the real food back then, didn't they?
Caleb Gonzalez
Goyslop was a necessary tool in order to obfuscate the reality of (fiat) inflation to the common goy. The decades long mass media campaign against nutritious food is the complement.
