if it were about the children, they would do paternity tests and keep the results secret except for doctors, or something similar. social reasons aside -- i.e. outing the whore -- the kids have valid reasons for wanting to know their biological father. many people have very serious congenital health conditions that you have to know about years before they present themselves symptomatically, like parkinson's and alzheimer's. this is just condemning children of unfaithful mothers to suffer so the mother can preserve her secret.

iirc the woman has to give her consent, then the paternity test is totally legal.
