He thinks we’re better off taking our chances with collapse than becoming what we would eventually inevitably become: robots with no more autonomy than a transistor in a global processor. Each doing our little part, genetically engineered to be compliant and serve the machine. I’m not convinced yet society needs to completely collapse to get rid of the industrial evil, but it’s also hard to see a way out of it at this point. I propose we package a bunch of Amish on a star ship and send them into space in the hope some original organic humans will live on while we all become cyborgs on earth.
