The "ir proximity sensor" in your phone is actually a full blown with ir night vision.
Glowies SEETHING
Fuck
IT'S A CAMERA
Ok, but what use would it have as a camera when there's already 2 much higher resolution and quality cameras on the front and back of your phone
Seems like a useless redundancy
Which one
Unless you mean LIDAR scanners for 3D face profile acquisition, but those are a bit different than IR proximity sensors
It's got root and a von tunnel on android, sees ir while your other cameras don't so it's night vision, it doesn't have y fuck with rights, cameras typically are only usable by one app at a time
24/7 access to see you with night vision
Idk what your asking, the pic is too with camera and it emitter, button is the underneath of it with 6 contacts to connect to the phones cpu
normal cameras can record near infrared but i guess if those things can record a deeper IR i get what you mean
Negative, this is in phones without that faces an shit and it doesn't put out little dots, it makes one big flashy circle, like a flashlight with a 70ish degree projection flashing at I don't even know what. Hard to tell using a camera, need proper tests ran to tell you frequency
It's nearir.
It doesn't have a filter while your normal cameras do
Think of it as a security camera with near-ir night vision
I'm not saying it has the ability to see longer wavelengths and I don't suspect it can.
The camera part is grey like a normal cmos sensor
Do I need to start putting a sticker over my light sensor too?
Yes, sticker over everything
Wouldn't the manufacturer specify the frequency so the designers can make sure the covering they put over it doesn't accidentally block it?
You are thinking of wavelength, I've never seen that stuff published for any phone but it would be ideal to have those specs.
Mine seems to flash like a strobe light but it might just be my cameras refresh rate not playing nice with pwm of the ir emmitter.
It's pretty bright, probably fucking up your eyes lens over time like a heater across the room will lead to cataracts
You say that like it’s fancy. That technology was in Xbox Kinect for maybe the last 20 years. Also wii. Developer was Israel military. Microsoft purchased it from them.
3 stickers on my phone might make me look paranoid...
It's a more recent development that they're small enough to be fit into phones and be precise enough to be used for facial recognition
fun fact: goatfuckers in afghanistan would use phone cameras as ghetto night vision devices.
oh cool
so its good out to 3ft
Black electric tale
Rather look paranoid than like a retard that half-asses everything
>Paranoia
No such thing in the current age, only fearlessness is a thing
how do I disable/cover it up?
Anybody know about mapping interiors of buildings using WiFi and 5G?
Those are a think, but this is in cheap phones without facial recognition too
Iphones have this proximity sensor AND a dot projector.
Not only that, start making and wearing IR FLOOD gear.
Lights up my room, more than 3ft.
one lens meant specifically to see in very low light conditions is useless? it's a spy device, m8. aint no other way to slice it. TVs were pushed on us to better control the way we think and how we feel, not to entertain us. likewise our smart devices were pushed on us to bring us into a more tightly controlled system. think Mcfly! Think!
Best long-term solution is to get a flip phone, unfortunately you'll have to find an offbrand one rather than your old one soon because it's hard to find 2G support.
Sensor kinematics apps can be downloaded. That’ll list whatever is buried in your phone.
yeah because the technology being given to us today wasn't fucking developed today but many years ago. when peoples aid "they are way ahead" they weren't joking. they've had sophisticated A.I. and all that for decades but they're just not letting the public toy around with basic versions of it.
lights up your room?
or reads ir?
so confuse when op is faggot
Yeah?
What about everyone else's phone?
>No resistor on those LEDs
Ngmi
Nice post though.
An gook arduino is half the price of a 555 chip and allows for multiple frequency flashing on the same chip, no need to have multiple 555s just to fuck with different refresh rates
id say an irrational lack of fear or concern is really whats crazy and stupid. like a total lack of cynicism is just plain ignorance. what kind of retard actually trusts people and believe the world is as it seems?
Stuck your phone in the microwave for 2 minutes, only way I've managed to disable mine, it sees in Infrared, so there is no covering it up. Damn yids are good at hiding em in your phone too, so it's way easier to just use a microwave, rather than go digging through your phone, you might break it that way.
Broof?
What the fuck is this?
See
It's good knowledge to have but if you know these phones are evil spy machines the best thing to do is get rid of it.
so the NSA can spy on my ceiling and maybe hear me shart on the toilet from time to time? good for them.
View it on a security camera that can see it.
It's got the same intensity as the phones flashlight camera.
Camera sensors have different sensitivity at different wavelength, that's why 780nm lights seem to work better than 970nm, cameras arnt sensitive on above 900nm, doesn't mean 980nm won't wreck your shit if it's bright enough even if the camera can't see it.
Idfk what ever length this is, a freemason told me uv and begged me to believe him that it's not it, not going into it.
Meh… maybe 20 years ago. Diversity is riding on the coattails of boomer mysteries
Google cmos sensor and compare it
Reminds me of that technology they put on helicopters and tanks to detect if they're beamed with a rangefinder or laser designater
>Not charging them shekels for the show
There's some nerd video on (((youtube))) showing iphone's IR sensor lighting up and taking scanning the room every 10 seconds or so.
That schematic is a basic bitch proximity sensor, it's what SHOULD be in the phone, it's not.
Pic related
The heli wouldn't need an ir led like in that circuit
