Scholz could not agree with Trudeau on gas supplies to Germany
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's attempts to find an alternative to Russian gas have failed. This is written by the publication Die Zeit, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the newspaper, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau could not find common ground and did not agree on gas supplies to Germany. Both sides talked a lot about cooperation and friendship, but during a press conference, the Canadian prime minister noted that the country would only consider a possible business model for the supply of liquefied natural gas to Germany.
As the newspaper notes, such a response means Canada's refusal to supply fuel to Germany.
