This, any farmer I've known that has tried to reduce nitrogen usage, has suffered massive loss of yields in their crops. Plus, nitrogen isn't cheap, so they only use what they absolutely need as it is. No wonder WEF owned countries like Canada and Netherlands are pushing its reduction.

Spectrum corrected grow lights use only about 1/3 of the power that solar panels will produce in the same foot print, effectively allowing for triple the energy efficiency for growing food. I don't support solar panels for much of anything but they do honestly make sense for food production.
As for water energy use yeah.. but also who cares? A 100m tall grow facility might have 10-20 layers given machinery and interspatial spaces but we already pump water from ground water sources hundreds of meters and irrigation networks have lift pumps all over. The real measure should be total cost not energy use. Clean room vertical farming is more/too expensive today but it's close when you start to factor things like weather destroying crops, being able to have a harvest at any time rather than all at once and the ability to protect against pests.
The government's attack on food production by means of nitrogen regulation is just another step towards the Green (red)Socialist take over of the economy, and should be fought against like the life threatening danger it is.

problem with modern mass farming is that they grow food on the land every year there need to be regenerative phases where herds of ruminants eat grass and shit on the soil in between. that's all. monocrop cycle farming is the culprit. it works fine for a few years until the soil is depleted. then you need to start using stupid fertilizers and stuff. what should happen is bring back the small farmers, my mother told me when she was a kid there were tons of smaller farmers and food producers almost everyone did some. if you wanted milk you'd ask the a neighbour he has goats, the other neighbour has sheep and then another one has 5 cows. and everyone had chikcens and was composting. we went fucking backwards fast in self sustaining communities with supermarkets and mega farms. and all food coming from a mega farm it might be bigger but there's less stuff in the food. and by the way, corn and onions, grain are fucking slave food humans shouldn't actually even be eating much of them. grains especially lol. are we birds or what?

Those stupid fertilizers and stuff have expanded yields by about 15 times. You can't compete against actually supplying plants what they need to grow.
The best most fertile soil in the world loses badly to the worst soil if you fertilize and water in a scientific manner.
