My mom had SNES with a few games when i was born and liked zelda as well as those old point and click adventure games, particularly horror. She introduced me to myst and we played n64 together when I was little, she really enjoyed Bango Kazooie. My dad also had doom, wing commander with a huge fancy joystick controller with a bunch of buttons just for flight sim type games, and a few other games i can't remember. Neither of them has touched a video game in 20 years. I know the last game my mom played was starwars galactic battlegrounds because I would play it on her computer. Life jusy got too busy for that sort of stuff for them. I barely play any video games anymore either and will probably have stopped at around the same age as them at this rate. You do just grow out of it eventually but those things are just as much fond memories of childhood as going camping and all those summer days spent out on the water.
