NZ Jan 6 all over again

About 2000 protesters have arrived at Parliament, after marching from Te Ngākau Civic Square
They were met by an estimated 500 counter-protesters at Parliament grounds, led by the Pōneke Anti-Fascist Coalition
Roads around Parliament are closed
The protest has been organised by Brian Tamaki’s Freedom & Rights Coalition.
Vehicles in the protest convoy left Kaitāia and Bluff at the weekend, to arrive in Wellington for today's protest
The capital was brought to a standstill in February when Parliament grounds were occupied by anti-mandate protesters

The counter-protest is being led by the Pōneke Anti-Fascist Coalition and has been endorsed by the local branch of the Tertiary Education Union.

Do people still wear masks over there? I left in April and you still had to wear them to the supermarket then.

Only losers still wear them. Otherwise you don't have to

You must mask for safety. Be kind, kia kaha

Do you guys know if I can still vote from over here? I'm pretty sure you can until you've relocacted for over a couple of years or whatever.

>The council has already received a complaint about furniture being carried on to Parliament grounds.

It's something like this
you are a New Zealand citizen and have been in New Zealand within the last three years, or
you are a permanent resident of New Zealand and have been in New Zealand in the last 12 months.
You have to enrol online as an absentee vote or somesuch

>They were met by an estimated 500 counter-protesters
LOL doubt.

I assume its because unvaxxed are unemployed and antifa are students or retired and so can sit in the sun at Parliament on a Tuesday afternoon

Yay!

How long are the protesters planning on hanging around?

>double masked
lol wot?

If the march is for Freedom and Rights, how can the counter-protestors get away with calling themselves anti-fascists?
When will these people admit they are useful idiots for the establishment?

the best part is the protesters are mostly maori & working class

It looks like both sides are lead by Maori? Not sure what 'fascism' means anymore in context.

Old tribal wounds have been dug up. War is coming.

Is it cold there?

I had no idea that New Zealand had a Seaworld.
