I'm new to Any Forums by many standards, but not so new that I can't predict reactions to this.
Nonetheless, I'm going to put this out there for those willing to do their own research.
I've spent my entire career -- and built a successful international business -- in the energy industry. I can't tell you everything about natural resource exploration, mining and distribution, but I can tell you a lot.
Based on my conversations with major clients and talks I've listened to at conferences and in small venues from lobbyist-types, here is a brief summary of our situation as a species.
We can't scale up crude and natgas production fast enough to meet projected demand. It's impossible. The resources are there, but nobody is willing to fund the exploration efforts because so many financiers have bought into the "green revolution."
The real problem: the same financiers won't fund lithium mining projects at a rate needed to accommodate electric vehicles and, even, future demand for household device batteries. And they certainly won't fund large scale solar projects.
We are on course for a global energy crisis within fifteen years. I can't understate the impact here. There's nothing we can so, as an industry, to change this. Planet Earth is on course for a self-imposed dark ages. It needs to be said.
We'll have a global conflict in a decade anyway to cull population and set a new world order. You won't mind not having a gaming laptop when you're being shelled or starve Thanks for the info.

Nobody invests in nuclear tech but the Russians and French. I think US doesn't have the expertise to make and run modern reactors.
That's what we need to change. Nuclear is the answer and energy companies need to get rid of the stupid stigma associated with it. Green energy is a joke and constantly needs replaced every decade at max. Nuclear lasts as long as the building which could be centuries.
Where do you source the fuel materials? Both of the examples I listed have reliable direct mining sources.

There's enough oil and natgas to last centuries. Furthermore, and more pertinent to your point - we have the ability to ramp up production within a short time frame. When oil busted $100/barrel back in the aughts, the US increased production by 180% in three and a half years. Some shithole countries with darkies will run out of power, as usual.
