I know many people have soured on Romney since then, but it seems hard to deny that America - and thus the world - could be a better place today if he had beat Obama in 2012. It's less about Romney himself, and more about Obama losing. If Obama had lost, it would have meant the failure of his whole agenda, he would have gone down in history as a very mediocre president who presided over a period of economic turmoil, on the same level as someone like Jimmy Carter.
Romney winning, and Obama losing, could have meant the SJW movement being killed dead in its tracks before it really got off the ground. Remember that SJWism was just starting to creep out of the universities in 2012, and when Obama won in November of that year, it emboldened them all across the world to attack society and institutions harder than ever before. Obama's victory was seen as the "final victory" of progressivism and the herald of a new dawn for social justice ideology. If Obama had instead lost, then social justice ideology would be bruised and defeated. No SJWism = no woke = no cancel culture, no trannies, no openly anti-white shit in the media.
I think if Romney had won, it would have meant the 2010s could have been a calm and normal decade in which the culture remained stable. He probably would have beaten Hillary when she challenged him in 2016, and thus been president right through to 2021. 8 years of Mitt would have been a period of calm moderate conservatism for America and the world.
Romney winning would have kickstarted the tranny movement earlier because they would've had an evil white man to rally against. Notice how all of this shit turned up to 10 when trump was elected

>What if Romney had won 2012? Pic related would still feel like an asshat
I see your point, and it's certainly possible. However I put it to you that maybe Romney was exactly the kind of guy who was needed in the 2010s. He was a boring, unremarkable small-c conservative. He would not have triggered the SJWs in the same way that Trump did, he was in no way aggressive or radical enough for that. The SJW movement was also much smaller and weaker in 2012 and would not have been able to muster the numbers needed to stage an "anti-Romney resistance" in the same way they did an anti-Trump resistance. If they had gone insane and protested him violently anyway, then many normies may have simply laughed at them, and this could have killed SJWism before it reached mainstream acceptance.

Not a particularly big fan of Romney, but I do think he could have at least spared us from all the busllshit of the last 10 years and America would at least still be reconognizeable.
Cameron Myers
You have to consider the context of the situation, the 2012 election was the first black president against a rich white mormon guy that came from daddy's money. Romney winning would've emboldened the leftists, especially after occupy wallstreet.
Connor Lopez
He probably would have started a shooting war with Russia over Syria or fucked up the Gulf with a war with Iran.
Also, there wouldn't be any good jobs left in the US outside of finance.
Juan Lee
Romney and Obama are two sides of the same coin.
Easton Long
>Also, there wouldn't be any good jobs left in the US outside of finance. how is that different from now
Jose Gonzalez
Fuck Romney. He’s another politician who does nothing to solve Americas problems.

>Voting for a mormon not going to happen
Kayden Ramirez
In retrospect, it was a missed opportunity.
Christian Sanders
The future is as inevitable as was the history that lays behind us. That smiling faggot wouldn't have done anything differently than the rest. They ALL answer to the same (((organization))).
He fucked it up in the second and third debates even though Obama got embarrassed in Colorado. That's when I realized politics was a sham
Luis Morales
Bong, stay out of American politics. We know that, “over there” the “Conservative” party torries are to the Left of our Communist democraps, so what possible meaningful insight could you provide? Romney? Seriously bong?
Levi Butler
guess what op, he did win the election, but the rig was on and the media didn’t miss a beat. romney was well aware that it had been stolen, but was too huge a pussy to dare challenge it. the perfect gop candidate.
Juan King
>even more jobs exported overseas >no trade war with China at all beyond maybe a little rhetoric >probably would have stayed with the Iran treaty much to Israhell's eternal rage >would have reacted to Putin's Ukraine antics the exact same way Biden has >would have likely got two terms so there's no way Trump would have even won the white house
Robert Rivera
MASS CIVIL UNREST as he bends over and lets himself and the rest of the country get KEKED by KIKES.
He is probably enough of a pathetic parasite to ACTUALLY attempt forcibly disarming the American people like Dianne Kikestein wanted to.
If he had won, the country would be far worse off.
The exact same Jewish oligarchs in power today would still be controlling America.
Oliver Walker
I'm voting for Mitt Romney in 2024!

I disagree entirely. If Romney had won, we probably would've had a hyper-SJW movement because they felt Obama "was stolen" from them. No doubt there would be many allegations of voter fraud from the left. Assuming that Mike Brown was still shot in 2014, we might've had nationwide 2020 scale BLM riots in 2014/2015 instead.
More importantly, if Romney had won, it would likely mean that we would've become heavily involved in Syria. If you'll recall, Obama tried to get Congressional authorization for widespread invasion of Syria in 2013 when "the red line" was crossed. Republicans blocked Obama's request, not because they were anti-war, but they did not want to give Obama the glory of leading a true war. For the wrong reasons, Republicans did the right thing.
Had Romney been in office and requested military authorization in Syria, he likely would've gotten it. We would've thus begun the second full scale war in the middle east, with the goal being to oust Assad for using chemical weapons, and to "establish democracy" in Syria. This would've been disastrous for a number of reasons.
Had that happened, its likely that Obama or Hillary would've ran in 2016 and run on the discontent against Romney. The fervor against Republicans wouldve been stronger
